The screws are terrible. They’re probably ok for drywall but couldn’t handle the torque necessary to drive into wood. shredded the first 4 with a bit on low torque setting, then decided to use a screwdriver for the next 4 and shredded the bits again. Half went into wood the others were stuck 3/4 of the way. Had to pull them out with pliers. Frustrating. Luckily had #10s laying around and they went in fine so it’s definitely a crap screw. Instructions failed to mention what distance you need between the ceiling mounts... easy fixes which cost pennies and show they didn’t QE this properly. (Let’s just say I’ve bought a few categories for major retailers so I know a few things about products. Grrrrr).
