For me, it's one of those tools you use a handful of times a year. But at this price and for a set a 4, you just can't go wrong. Anywhere else, just one of these pliers is more than this entire set.

Reliable, small, inexpensive

Look at the picture very carefully. You will notice that 2 of the pliers on the right side do not operate like normal pliers (see left side ones) . When you squeeze the handle, it actually opens the pliers jaws instead of closing them like normal pliers. This means the spring is expected to hold whatever load it is you have on the jaws side of the pliers. This makes them pretty useless as pliers. I have never seen a design like this before. And I can't understand the great reviews. You will also notice even in the picture that some of the pliers tips don't even completely touch (see second from the right). The bent pliers tips also do not touch when closed. These are junk tools.
