The plastic on the handle broke apart. We DID NOT drop this kettle or anything, it seems like it can't withstand the heat of boiling water. Another issue with this kettle is the opening mechanism of the lid. I mean it's not the smartest idea to put the button to pop open the lid ON TOP of the lid. We have to press the button a few times before it opens.
