I bought a second one of these. To update my previous review, if too much liquid is spilled onto it, it will leak through if not taken off RIGHT AWAY; however, 99% of the time, it doesn't and I'm (obviously because I got a 2nd one) glad I purchased it. Oh, it is also great for keeping dog hair and other dog things (I have a 13/14 year old with incontinence problems) off the mattresses of the Futons that I bought these for.

Absolutely love it! Liquids do not go through it protecting your mattress. If you don't have a deep mattress like me, you can pull the edges to cover several inches of other side of mattress to avoid shifting of the sheet. I will definitely be buying another couple of these once I can afford to do so (Christmas time don'tchya know). Oh yes, and the price is amazing. I've bought something similar for roughly double the price several years ago that took forever to air dry and ended up not lasting that long.
