Attractive, fast and very cost-effective. It's rare that I write to sing the praises of a kitchen appliance but I really do love this kettle. I bought it to replace a copper-bottomed whistling kettle that I'd used on a gas range for a decade. I wanted a kettle that wouldn't boil dry and used a more subtle means of letting me know that the water was boiling. Efficiency was also important; we boil 3-4 litres of Brita filtered water daily - mostly for tea. To my surprise this kettle boiled a litre of Brita water from room temperature in only 4', ninety seconds faster than the whistler which took 5'30". The blue light, that I initially thought was kitsch, is actually pretty effective at both letting you know it's on and also highlighting when the water boils. When I bought it someone asked why anyone would want to see all the sediment accumulate on the sides and bottom. After eight months and a thousand litres of boiled water, there are zero deposits. We never boil the kettle dry. Can't beat the value.

I recently received this kettle after it being out of stock for a few weeks. Couldn't be more delighted with it. Love the blue light when it's boiling and I especially like the stainless steel strainer after the "cloth" one in my last kettle disengaged while I was trying to clean it. So far everything is working extremely well and I would recommend to anyone looking for an efficient and attractive kettle.
