This seems to heat up to ~50 degrees C (when putting a digital thermometer on it and covered with a blanket). That's probably good enough as you don't want to roast your pet! I put another thin blanket on top of it and seems to be good enough even on lower temperatures.

the cats love to keep warm

So far, so good. Pets haven't used them yet but my wife and I like them for keeping our feet warm while sitting at the computer or watching television.

nice size.

My Dane is presently the warmest in the house.
