Had trouble clamping to table top with short edges. Works really well otherwise where there is enough area for firm clamping. The flexibility of the arm is stiff which is good to minmize shakiness.

Good for what I need it for which is to hold my phone up in bed and my kobo ereader. The bottom isn't as sturdy so I think it would definitely have troubles with an ipad pro ( i have yet to try ) but it can hold a ipad mini just fine at the right angle.The clamp is fully plastic and the only way to tighten it is by spinning the grip above the clamp which is also plastic

I purchased this for my iPad but unfortunately it won’t fit with the case I have on it. The measurement of my iPad with case is less than 12.9 inches so in that I was disappointed. I am keeping it to use for my phone and it works great.

Unit is solidly built. The gooseneck is very stiff. A good idea is to adjust it before mounting the tablet. One is used in the kitchen to hold up a 10 inch table for recipes and podcast. 2 are giving away as Christmas gifts.
