Don't ruin your desk with this product, read before buying. Cannot recommend this item as this damages your desk. I never noticed it as the mount was on my desk, and it took a few years when I decide to take this down that I noticed the screw leaves a dent into your desk. My desk top can't be replaced as it's a discontinued desk top. I spoke with a representative (Michael Ma) to see if I can just get the right screw so I'm not damaging another part of the desk when re-mounting my new monitors. They refused as it's "30 day" warranty. However, at the time of my order from years ago, this was stated as a Life Time warranty. No compensation to my desk, nor even a replacement part as the minimum. Nobody puts on and takes off a monitor mount within 30 days to notice a dent in their desk; If it works, they leave it on.

This item can definitely be made out of lighter material instead of weighting 10-12 pounds. I would even pay more money if it were lighter. I bought the laptop attachment plate which is extremely heavy as well causing the piece that rotates the laptop up and down to not be secure enough. My laptop is 15” so it should work fine. I had to lower the bar so my desk would stop the laptop from hanging down which defeats the purpose. Disappointed with this purchase.
