I would actually give the product 5 stars. The 4 star rating is because the items arrived damaged. I ordered two of these, both arrived damaged. With one of the two the damage was not that bad, so I decided to keep it and order a replacement for the second one. The replacement also arrived damaged. The packaging simply does adequately protect the table top. Damage is almost inevitable. If you order this item and the top is damaged request a replacement of just the top only. This is what I did for the final replacement and it was packaged really really well and arrived in perfect condition. PrimeCables staff were responsive and helpful when requesting replacements for the items that arrived damaged. The table is great. Many of the comments say that it is difficult to lower. I have found that you need to exert a little extra pressure on the table top to push it down to help the gas piston move the top down, but it's not "difficult". It's just not a one hand operation. I wanted a very small desk and this fills the bill perfectly! It's a really great value!

Works great to lift the top but I cannot get it down

Excellent value: Sturdy, robust, heavy-weight construction. Prompt delivery. Tabletop damaged (appears to be a strike from a router bit. No apparent carton or packing damage that would correlate with the location of the tabletop damage. Otherwise, very pleased with product as represented. Casters would be perfect for laminate flooring but carpet pile is a problem

The table is good and can raise and lower. I received a dented tabletop but customer service sent me another. Overall finish is good.

Work as expected!
