25 Watt Stereo Hybrid Tube Amplifier with Bluetooth, Optical, Coaxial, and USB Input - PrimeCables®
This is not pure class A tube amplifier. Is a mixed amplifier between Tube and IC final. Is still sound good do to fact that tube are used to buffering but over all is a scam. I think that we should update description of this product. I discovered by accident when I bout DYI kit with same tubes but that is weight 3 times more than this product (this one is missing output transformers)
The product has a severe hum when attached to any output speaker. I am returning it.
While aesthetically t is one of the coolest looking table top classic style amps around, that is exactly where it ends, power is no where near the 25W RMS as rated, I have it hooked up to a brand new Sony CD/DVD player, a brand new Pioneer turntable and to a set of Bose 301's, and distortion levels with flat base and treble come in at a little over 25% power output, there is no richness of promised vacuum valve audio, there is nothing produced by this amp that can be classed as quality audio reproduction coming from this pitiful little joke of an amp, don't waste your money on it, for less that $100.00 more go buy yourself the Sony STRDH190 2-ch Stereo Receiver with Phono Inputs, now there is an AMP worth its weight and well worth the value at double the price, this one is not and is nothing more than an ornament that looks pretty cool.
Sounds like trash. I feel like I'm listening to a phone through a toilet paper roll, it distorts terribly and often the vocals will come in and out of whatever I'm listening to. I'm massively disappointed, I could have gotten a JDS Atom instead for much cheaper and much better.
I've been an avid music lover for the past 50+ years and when I saw this cute looking little amp with tubes no less, I thought, hmm not much power, but 25 watts thru my Altec mod14 should produce some decent sounds. My conclusion? I've heard AAA battery powered transistor radios that sounded waaaay superior to lousy piece of junk !!!!
bad hum with headphones
