Moustache Executive Mesh Chair with Headrest
Short summary - a 3.5 star chair, 4.5 stars adjusted for price, 5 stars adjusted for support. Foot rest is useless/uncomfortable for me at 185 cm 100 kg/6' 220 lbs, better off using a cheap sub-woofer. Slightly longer summary - had occasion to do an actual tear-down of this chair. It is much more robust than anything else in this price range, and I actually believe the weight rating. I had the tilt mechanism break, but by shearing off the ear that attaches it to the base, which is a manufacturing defect not a design issue (unless someone is trying to save half-a-cent of steel on the casting). My chair was out-of-warranty but I was sent the replacement parts and was able to repair it myself - if you have a credit card extended warranty though I suggest buying another of the same chair through that process rather than repairing it yourself. More technical summary - bought this chair to be the occasional use home office chair, supplementing an old Leap V2 chair. I've bought a few chairs from cheap home office suppliers before and most of them have had a major break after 4 months, become uncomfortable after about a year, and dissolve in 3. Everything held up well on this chair for a year, which was a great surprise, considering the arm rests or a wheel almost always break by that point. I was expecting a wheel from the wagon-wheel design but they turned out to be very robust. After a year the tilt mechanism failed suddenly, going from high tension to no tension (impossible to sit at any angle other than High School Teenager). The ear holding the base to the back sheered off about 3 months out of warranty, so I took pictures and sent to support and they sent me a new chair base. After fully tearing down the base attempting to get the pneumatic cylinder off I deemed it impossible, contacted support and they send me a new cylinder as it could not be removed safely from the base. After that the chair came together in seconds, and is still going strong. I do not recommend that anyone attempt to disassemble the base themselves unless they are familiar with spring tension and pneumatic cylinders - there are several steps that could land you in hospital if you are a Git 'er DONE type person. The stored energy in this chair is no joke. So if you have a tilt mechanism failure get support to send the base and the cylinder, and make sure you remove the clip for the cylinder to the wheeled base of the chair rather than just pull until it comes out. For the quality of what I saw inside the chair this is a steel of a deal if you are used to cheap chairs breaking, and it is quite comfortable at this price (less than 20% of a new Leap V2).
I bought this chair when there was no review. Its been now a month and I can say its a Great amazing comfortable office chair. I have made a time lapse video of me ASSEMBLING this chair so you can see how easy it is to assemble. https://youtu.be/qwpvJziy40Q Some people are complaining about the bolts. That they are not getting in the arms rest while assembling. I would like to clarify that, the company has put some yellow substance in the front of the bolt so that it doesn’t not loose once it tightened. So just try correctly and apply little force for the first time. It took 12 days for me to receive this chair which was bit disappointing as they mentioned 3 days shipping. However I saw few of the comments now people are getting in 3-5 days. So thats good. I am 6.1 and chair and headrests are very much aligned where it should be. Overall its a great chair, would like if there was one more mode which was more straight but can’t ask for more in that price. Amazing chair bye bye back pains.
Good price. Much better than the cheap task chair that I have been using for years. Easy assembly. Quite heavy. Arm rests move forwards and backwards too easily. Not convenient to adjust the head rest or the lumbar support. It takes a lot of effort to make adjustments to fit my smaller size. Footrest is useless because it's too low when I try to tilt back. Acceptable but not excellent. Very good for the price.
very comfortable, good height for the headrest. Arm rest is slightly wide for a smaller/skinnier person.
Very comfortable
